Program Notes
Directors Note from the Program
Thank you one and all for coming to tonight's performance of Seussical the Musical! By attending, you're helping us celebrate Peter Quince Performing Company's 48th Season. This show is a magical experience that brings all the best story lines of Dr. Seuss to life on stage. Seussical holds a special place in my heart because it was the first musical I ever acted in. It only makes sense that I would end my time in Quince directing the show that started it all. Seussical was such a joy to direct especially getting to watch my unique vision take life on stage and to witness the growth of all the actors. We had a great group of kids this year which made it all the more fun to direct.
Of courses there were bumps throughout the process but in the end, as always, the entire team overcame it. We have given Seussical the production it deserves. I could not have chosen a better show or group of people to cap off my final year with this company. I would like to thank my fantastic team of directors because, without them, this show would not be what it is. First, I would like to thank your Producer, Lindsey Buss, for keeping everyone involved sane. I would also like to thank Tessa Komorowski, whose hard work helped our cast sound absolutely beautiful and Lidia Zurcher, with her assistant Isabelle Heinzen, whose choreography brought these beautiful songs to life.
Also my thanks goes out to Rachel Winter for her wonderful conducting skills that makes our put sound superb. Certainly, I cannot forget to thank my Technical Directors, Frank Salzberg and Alex Beilman, who brought my crazy vision to life through lights, sound, and set. Thank you Jon Menk, for your patience and for bringing a charm to the position of Assistant Director. Most importantly I want to thank you, the audience, for coming to this wonderful show to support us! I hope you enjoy this terrific show as much as i enjoyed directing it!

Producers Note from the Program
Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen,
In the words of Dr. Seuss " Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened". This summer was quite the amazing journey, and I could not be happier to have been able to experience it with the people that I did! Between commuting to Green Bay, to overseeing rehearsals, to planning events for the company, this summer was quite the busy one, but as it always is with Quince, it was completely worth it, and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
Over the past seven years of me being a part of Quince, I have learned so much, including the idea that theater is not just something you do. It is a passion, it is art and it is family.
Onto the thanks that everyone deserves! I don't know what i would have done without my amazing directing Staff, Maxwell Alexander, Tessa Komorowski, Rachel Winter, and Lidia Zurcher, as well as their assistants who worked equally as hard as they did to make this show the best it could be! A big thank you goes to Isabelle Heinzen, who without all of her hardwork, I do not know how sane I would be. I also do not know what I would have done without Stephanie Watkins who learned all the ins and outs of being producer this year as my assistant.
A big thank you goes to my production council who all put in countless hours of work in to make sure this show was well put together. I would also like to thank the alumni of the company because without you, who would not have the company we have today! Finally, I would like to thank everyone involved in this show especially those who support us through their donations and help throughout the summer.
Now please, sit back, relax and enjoy the world of Seuss!
Yours in Quince,
Lindsey Ann Buss, Producer
